Virginia Institute of Autism

2016 Invitation Suite Design

Each October, The Virginia Institute of Autism holds a fundraising gala to celebrate the milestones of the past year and spur anticipation for the upcoming year. In addition, during the 2016 gala, the institute will celebrate it’s 20th anniversary. The 2016 invitation suite incorporates thematic elements of a story book – Special finishes such as gold foil, an oval diecut, and a stipple textured paper (alluding to a leather book) decorate the suite, convey the theme, and accentuate the accomplishments of the institute’s story. Patterns, flourishes, and old English lettering that references traditional book design from the 1800s, have been created in a modern and vibrant way representing the institute’s progressive intention as they look ahead and plan for their next chapter.
