Introducing Back Unturned Brewing Co., homegrown in San Antonio, Texas. Reflective of San Antonio’s rich history in the Texas Revolution, the brewery’s namesake is derived from the controversial figure Castrillón, Santa Anna’s second-in-command. He contradicted Santa Anna by protesting the executions of the Alamo and the Goliad Massacre as dishonorable, and brazenly shouted as his fellow soldiers retreated at the Battle of San Jacinto, “I have been in forty battles and never showed my back. I am too old to do it now.” Back Unturned’s mark is representative of the duality of both Castrillón and the owner’s own past, present, and future as he surges forward into the ever-competitive beer market.
We began with assisting in name selection, then proceeding into the identity & logo design. The business card is the first marketing piece that has been developed for the brand. Stay tuned as we continue to develop Back Unturned Brewing.
