Rosemont of Virginia approached Watermark looking for a brand refresh for their winery. Through an evaluation of their branding and portfolio of labels it was determined that a new approach would benefit their business. After refreshing their logo, we designed wine labels for three tiers: An accessible bag-in-a-box tier, their Classic line, and a Reserve tier. Rosemont has the distinct pleasure of producing 100% of the grapes used in their wine – something that is becoming more rare with the current grape shortage in Virginia. Because of this competitive difference, we featured the winery’s rolling hills and vineyard rows in a hand drawn illustration that appears on all three tiers. The Classic tier uses a blind emboss and gold foil to differentiate itself from the Accessible line. For the reserve tier, we used the Classic label but elevated it’s sophistication by adding a gold foil bikini label that states the wine’s premium level.
